For the first time in several years, I have some family stuff going on and have to miss the Coronado Speed Festival this year. Today’s the last day and if you haven’t ever experienced it, it’s worth a drive over to North Island for the day. This is a classic car festival and racing all in one. A place where you can get a flavor of what racing was like 20 years ago, 50 years ago … even a century ago. The owners bring their vintage race cars and take to a track marked out on the runways at North Island. Here’s a great story from UT San Diego»
While you’re there, be sure to swing by the UT San Diego Wheels Section and meet Wheels editor Mark Maynard. He usually has a few really hot cars to check out.
Sorry I can’t make it, but I hope to be back next year.
